DubsTech Protothon 2024
DubsTech Protothon 2024
In May 2024, I took part in a design competition with a team of three other UX designers.
We had just 24 hours to come up with a solution for a specific problem assigned to us.
Our team received special mention in the Enterprise App Design Challenge at
the 11th Protothon, organized by DubsTech and Design Buddies!

Design Brief
Design Brief
This past year, the Seattle Fire Department has been extremely busy, handling a rising call load. They've seen increases in various incidents, including vacant building fires, scenes of violence, automatic fire alarms, suspected overdoses, and assistance for the unhoused. Notably, there's been a concerning rise in cardiac arrests linked to suspected overdoses. Overall, they responded to a record 111,319 calls in 2023, marking nearly a five percent increase from the previous year.

Challenge
Our task was to design a platform that allows the Seattle Fire Department to:
Discover an incident, allocate resources to it, and then create a report on it after.
Leverage data to analyze historical incident data, identify trends, and generate insightful reports to inform decision-making and resource planning.

As you scroll, you’ll find a visual walkthrough of our design process – starting with initial research and user flows, moving through wireframes and ideation, and culminating in the final UI design. Each section highlights key decisions and how we iterated based on user needs and feedback.
